Ingredients in Redness Relief and their benefits:

Azelaic Acid:  A mild acid used to gently exfoliate the skin and reduce extra-thick sebum and bacteria that can contribute to thickening and blockage of pores.  It is a larger molecule that is not irritating and actually helps soothe redness.  Can be omitted if you send personalization request however.

Licorice Root:  Licorice contains a compound called glycyrrhizin and has been shown to sooth and control swelling and redness. Licorice root also helps to brighten!

Oat Extract:  Another super beneficial compound known to control irritation and soothe the skin almost immediately.

Barrier Protect*:  This natural blend of Sandlewood extract, phellodendron extract and barley has shown to provide a cushioning effect to the skin, decreasing TEWL (trans epidermal water loss). It has also demonstrated the ability to prevent and suppress proinflammatory cytokines, which are partly responsible for 'over active' skin.
